Here they are:

CYGSS  20000515.014  120  Scp
CYGSS  20000515.965  108  Scp
CYGSS  20000516.049  105  Scp
CYGSS  20000516.097  104  Scp

To me that looks more like a rapid rise to a bright maximum, and I would
expect SS Cyg at around mag 8.7 by this evening.
