Observer:
GRL = Bjorn H. Granslo (Fjellhamar, Norway). Instrument: 20.3-cm
SCT (C203). Strong Moonlight, nearly clear sky. I attempted to
observe the possible asteroidal occultation on 1997 Sep 18
involving 27 Euterpe (V-mag. 11.0) and PPM 94351 (V-mag. 9.9).
The star was monitored continously from 00h15m to 00h35m UT but
no occultation was seen. At the beginning of the watch the
minor planet was visible a couple of arcseconds West of the star
and at the end it was seen a few arcseconds to the East (ie.
27 Euterpe showed a prograde motion). During a time interval of
12 minutes centered on 00h23m UT I was not able to separate the
two objects. I was unfortunately completely clouded out during
the total lunar eclipse on 1997 Sep 16 UT.
