visual observations of XZ Sgr with the apogee on 11 August
1997.
XZ Sgr: an interactive / eclipsing binary with a period of about
3.28d and a magnitude ranging from 8.8 to 10.9
The timing of this eclipse suited my purpose, a matter of keeping
an observer busy by him doing something else for a time...who
knows!
The results, just for what they're worth: magnitudes based on
Tycho values of nearby stars:
JD (-2450670) Magn
2.372 10.7
2.390 11.1
2.406 11.2
2.424 11.3
2.431 11.3
2.451 11.3
2.464 11.1
2.475 10.8
2.480 10.6
2.484 10.5
Estimated (derived from 2nd and 3rd polynomial fits) eclipse peak:
at 2450672.429

PS I will not include these observations with my monthly reports
for AAVSO / RASNZ
