[vsnet-obs 6476] southern observations July 28-29

G'day all,
First of all, for everyone anxiously awaiting news of V651 Mon :
V651 Mon Jul 29 20:10UT <12.0 (VSS RASNZ sequence)
NGC 2346 was easily visible in 15cm telescope. Hale-Bopp good in 7x50's.
Conditions very clear, about -5C with a 40km/h wind. I will definitely not
forget my hat next time I use that lookout!
