[vsnet-obs 5260] Suspects near X Aur & R Aql




Dear VSNETers

I have been asked by Attila Kosa-Kiss to bring to the attention of
VSNET subscribers the existence of two suspect variables in the 
fields of X Aur & R Aql.

X Aur:
GSC 3383 431  RA 06h 11m.56  Dec +50, 09.16 (2000.0)

Attila has been monitoring this star since 1993, and has detected 
variations between 9.4-10.5 using his 63mm OG.  This star is listed 
as 102 on the AAVSO chart for X Aur.  His observations for 1997

This star has also been under observation since 1993, and variations 
in the range of 10.5-11.8 have been observed.  Attila's 1997 
observations are...

This star is not measured on either the AAVSO or BAAVSS charts for R 
Aql.

Observers of X Aur should be aware of the suspect nature of this 
comparison star, and not use it when making estimates.
