Same sequence we're using here.  Three hypotheses come to mind:

(1) Eclipses, which you observed and we didn't.
(2) Superhumps, which you missed observing.
(3) The usual problem of observing something at your limiting magnitude.

Tilbrook's limiting magnitude is 13.8-14.0 from his observatory.  My
limiting magnitude from home is about 12.0; therefore I don't bother to
observe WX Hyi myself and can't confirm what it is doing.

I don't recall if WX Hyi exhibits eclipses, but it does have superhumps.
