[vsnet-obs 3645] Nova? Crucis 1996

G'day all,
Another observation of Nova(?) Crucis 1996 by me, again through haze
and high cirrus: 1996 Aug 31 10:04UT mag 11.4v
And repeating an earlier observation by Justin Tilbrook (VSS,RASNZ
code Tz) which apparently didn't reach VSNET:
1996 Aug 28 09:37UT mag approx 10.3v (through hole in clouds)
All attempts to observe this beastie after Lower Culmination have
been thwarted by early morning clouds here.
The rapid fade makes me wonder if this is actually a dwarf nova
that doesn't outburst very much??
