V630 Cyg [UGSU:, 13.4p - 17.2p]
===============================
Eric Broens (observing from the South of France) reports an outburst
of the CVAP object V630 Cyg. Gary Poyner, Birmingham, UK also observed
the outburst. Available observations :
1996 Jul. 10.085 UT, 14.2 (E. Broens, 0.35-m refl., seq: AAVSO);
Jul. 11.039 UT, 14.4 (G. Poyner, 0.40-m refl.);
Remark that the classification of V630 Cyg as a SU UMa-type dwarf
nova is still unsure. Therefore follow-up observations (in particular
high-speed CCD photometry in search of superhumps), are highly
encouraged.
V630 Cyg underwent a remarkable outburst in October 1995, when it was
visible at mag 14.2 for one night, then disappeared (<14.9) and again
was in outburst 4 nights later (see CVC 66). This was very likely a
precursor type of short outburst followed by a superoutburst, hence
establishing the SU UMa-type nature of this object.
V630 Cyg was last reported in outburst on May 23, 1996 (Lasse Jensen,
CBA Denmark) [CVC 96].
