[vsnet-obs 1654] CATACLYSMIC VARIABLES HOME PAGE

Dear friends,

It is with great pleasure that I'd like to announce the creation of the
CATACLYSMIC VARIABLES HOME PAGE, a World Wide Web (WWW) service entirely
devoted to cataclysmic variables.

The WWW pages (> 50 in total) highlight observational results obtained
by amateurs all over the world, and provide a lot of useful background
information. They are complimentary to other services, such as the VSNET.
Among the current contents of the Cataclysmic Variables Home Page are :

- Light curves of recent interesting outbursts, and historical outbursts
- Finder charts and sequences for poorly studied cataclysmic variables
- The latest CVC issues and a series of back issues
- The complete Outburst Activity Database in an online readable format
- The CVAP (Belgian Alert Programme) and TOAD listings
- Profiles of active cataclysmic variable observers (under construction)
- Some papers and background information
- Many links to other interesting places
- ...

It is our objective to turn these Web pages into a highly dynamic environ-
ment, in which cataclysmic variables observers always will find new and
exciting stuff. We therefore ask for your cooperation, by submitting us
your contributions to the Web pages (tvanmuns@innet.be).

You may access the Cataclysmic Variables Home Page at the following URL :

Finally, I'd like to use this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to
Dr. Steve Howell and Peter Tamblyn of the Planetary Science Institute, AZ,
for providing me the required disk storage capacity at their Web site, and
for their continuous assistance.

Kind regards,
Tonny Vanmunster
