[vsnet-obs 1618] REQUEST TO MONITOR V493 LYR

Dear Colleagues,

I would very much appreciate your help on the following.

While preparing the next CVC issue, I compiled a photometric summary of V493
Lyr (a recently discovered UG-type dwarf nova), which is listed below.
During this
process, I noticed that the variable shows brightness variations of nearly
0.5 magnitudes in narrow time intervals. This event has been recorded
several times during the present outburst. It would be extremely interesting
to monitor V493 Lyr in very close detail (several observations a night by
different observers)
during the present (super)outburst, in order to determine if the observed
behaviour is indeed real.

I therefor would like to ask EXPERIENCED observers to make estimates of this
object, at least every 15 minutes (and more frequently if a variation is
detected). Confirmation by CCD observations would of course be most appreciated.
