DM Lyr [UG, 13.6p - 18p]
========================

Lasse Jensen, Farum, Denmark and Jochen Pietz, Erftstadts, Germany
independently report their detection of an outburst of DM Lyr, an UG-type
cataclysmic variable, which is on the TA/BAAVS Recurrent Objects Programme.
Available observations :

1995 Nov 20.718 UT,  14.1   (L. Jensen, 0.33-m refl., seq: AAVSO/TA);
     Nov 20.748 UT,  14.2   (J. Pietz, 0.40-m refl.);
     Nov 21.682 UT,  14.1   (L. Szentasko, 0.33-m refl.);
     Nov 21.702 UT,  14.5   (L. Jensen);
     Nov 22.400 UT, [14.4   (S. Takahashi, 0.60-m refl.);

The last confirmed outburst of DM Lyr was reported by G. Poyner on Nov 1,
1994 (CVC 21), when this variable reached mag 13.5 (CVC 22). An unconfirmed
outburst was further reported by L. Szentasko on Feb 1, 1995, at mag. 14.2
(CVC 27).

V493 Lyr [UG, 13.2 - 18.0p]
===========================

Jochen Pietz also reports an outburst detection of V493 Lyr. Several
observers have confirmed the event.

1995 Nov 20.756 UT,  14.1   (J. Pietz, 0.40-m refl.);
     Nov 21.681 UT,  13.9   (L. Szentasko, 0.33-m refl.);
     Nov 21.701 UT,  14.0   (L. Jensen, 0.33-m refl.);
     Nov 21.937 UT,  13.5   (B. Worraker, 0.26-m refl., seq: TA);

V493 Lyr was last observed in outburst by T. Vanmunster on August 16, 1994
(CVC 11), when it reached mag 14.1, and was visible for nearly 2 weeks.
During the October 1993 outburst (the first time the object was ever seen
visually), V493 Lyr reached mag. 13.8. Compared to these two outbursts, the
present one seems to be a relatively bright one and certainly deserves close
monitoring.
