In relation to the recent discovery of superhumps in V419 Lyr (vsnet-
alert 248), I have checked the discovery paper of this dwarf nova to search
for outburst characteristics. From observations by Kurochkin (Perem. Zvezdy
17, 186, 1970), following outbursts could be identified. The object seems
to be a dwarf nova with short recurrence times, probably like YZ Cnc.
(V419 Lyr = SVS 1584, originally classified as a Z Cam-type dwarf nova)
