CI UMa [UGSU, 13.8p - 18.8V]
============================

Lasse Jensen, Farum, Denmark reports an outburst of this interesting
CVAP object. Confirmation has been obtained from Tonny Vanmunster,
Landen, Belgium, as follows :

1995 Sep 20.905 UT, [14.1  (T. Vanmunster, 0.35-m refl., seq: GSC);
     Sep 27.145 UT,  14.1  (L. Jensen, 0.33-m refl.);
     Sep 27.815 UT,  14.2  (T. Vanmunster);

During the January 1995 superoutburst of CI UMa (which was first noticed
by J. Pietz, Germany), Daisaku Nogami, Ouda Station, Kyoto University,
Japan, obtained time resolved CCD photometry of the object, using a 60-cm
reflector. Superhumps with an amplitude of 0.21 mag were clearly present,
and 4 superhump maxima were observed during a 6 hours photometry session.
From this, a superhump period of 0.0626 +/- 0.0005 day was determined.

Following a private communication by Taichi Kato, Kyoto University, Japan,
CI UMa was discovered by Goranskiij and Kolotovlina. He further adds :
"This object has been included in the VSOLJ program since ~1987. A long
outburst was observed in Jan. 1988. Serveral other outbursts have been
recorded mainly by M. Koshiro. A photometric period of 87 min in quiescence
was detected by Howell et al. (PASP 102, 758)."

The last confirmed outburst of CI UMa occurred on May 15, 1995, when it was
reported by J. Bortle at mag. 14.6 (AAVSO Circ. 296).

FN And [UG, 13.5p - 17.5p]
==========================

The outburst of FN And (see CVC 59) apparently was a very short one,
as one can deduce from the photometric summary below. Note the rather
sharp decline on the night of Sep. 24th.
