Dear Colleagues,
I read the report by M.Iida, relayed by Taichi Kato
of an outburst of PG 1510+234 (=NSV 06690) with
interest.
I have tried to establish a position and chart in
the literature for this object without success.
Reference to NSV 06690 in the NSV gives:
RA 14h27m59s DEC +23 17.0 [1950].
I was puzzled that this disagreed with the alternative
designation. Then I referred to NSV 06990 and
although the position now seems to agree with the
PG designation, this star is catalogued as type RR?
and with range 14.9-15.9?
Can anyone confirm the position of the object in
outburst and where further details can be obtained
in the literature?
regards,
Guy
