Dear Observers,
Can anyone obtain a few hours of high-speed photometry either tonight or
tomorrow night (nights of Feb 8-9th)?
Fred Ringwald is at the WHT observing SY Cnc for me.
The only problem is that the time resolution may be too slow - 14sec.
However, if we can determine the period of the DNOs independently
(typically 23-33 sec), we can still fold the data and be ok.
While we should have simultaneous observations, this seems impossible.
Contemporaneous data may be good enough, and in any case, it will give
us a much better estimate for the period than no data at all!
White light photometry with better than 10sec time resolution for a few
hours is what we need. All I want from the photometry is the period,
nothing else. I'm going to try from Keele, but currently it is snowing....
Thanks,
Bill
