From John Greaves: === Here's a bit of a coincidence re me nova list. Because I like to view catalogue stuff plotted graphically I noticed instantaneously on going to the IGR etc field that it was within 6 arcmins of N SGR 2001 No. 1. So, essentially that means that I could see that one quadrant of the Integral position's error box overlaps one quadrant of the available Arne Henden photometry files taken at that time for that nova, some of which should be quite deep in magnitude. Unfortunately I also noticed that the ROSAT bright source is just outside the Henden area. But you should be able to compare some of your own current photometry with Arne's from that epoch to look for variation. Obviously, the two datasets may not be to the same zeropoints, but global offsets should exist such that you would be able to detect any objects with true variation I suppose, similar to what you do with ucac stuff. The Henden photometry should be available via his public ftp site. The extension is that others may have old photometry of this area, even yourself ;^) Cheers John John Greaves
