Subject: [vsnet-chat 5886] In search of the XTE J1720-318 optical counterpart

Hi,

Unfiltered CCD images of the XRay Transient XTE J1720-318 where
recorded this morning at the Bronberg observatory using the 12" f/4.2
scope with ST7-E camera. The limiting magnitude of the stacked image is
18.5CR.

Compared to the DSS images (1 and 2-red), a number of sources show much
brighter. Most of them are probably strong emitters at longer
wavelengths.

Any idea where I can retrieve an NIR image of this field?

Regards,

Berto Monard
