Thanks to Patrick Wils, the orignal Harvard Annals were located here:
http://adsbit.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/nph-iarticle_query?journal=AnHar&year=%3F%3F%3F%3F&volume=.109&letter=.&db_key=AST&page_ind=74&plate_select=NO&data_type=GIF&type=SCREEN_GIF
This lists the coords for HV 12885 as 6h43m39s -58d59.5' (B1900)
John Greaves has noted that precessing this to J2000 coords places it less
than 5 arcsec from TbrV174's nominal position (well within the error bars
for postions derived from my image scale of 50"/pix).
It appears that NSV 17186 has been incorrectly cross-referenced as GSC 8548
0393, possibly due to precessing the position from the wrong epoch.
In summary, TbvV0174 is NSV 17186, but NSV 17186 is not GSC 8548 0393.
NSV17186 is GSC2.2 S112321011800.
