CMC12 185600.4+025935 - Mira Variable
RA 2000: 18h56m00.46s
Dec2000: +02d59'35.5"
r' mag 14.968 s.d. 1.208
Variation is evident on the four red, as well as the four blue, images
available via the NOFS image server, and on the two far red plates,
where it is by far the brightest.
A very adjacent field star, of brighter magnitude to the variable star
when at maximum on red plates, and probably of very little colour by
comparison of its image on all three of blue, red and far red plates,
lies at about 20 arcsecs just South of East, probably making an
interesting pair to the eye.
The B1-R1 contemporaneous POSS I colour is 5.6, showing the Mira star to
be very red.
Also non-constant in the C band (11.1 - 13.2 microns bandwidth) during
the MSX5C experiment.
