Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (Brh V126), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera: Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new Brh V126 213625.4 +161555.1 (J2000) 10.3-10.9 (CCD) comments: Brh V126: GSC 1665 724 The comparison star is GSC 1665 260 (11.57 mag), which has been checked for constant brightness. The following observations and the USNO A2.0 colours (r: 10.8 mag, b: 13.0 mag) suggest a long period variable, type and period still unknown. object YYMMDD(UT) mag(CCD) code Brh V126 021008.8442 10.62 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021112.8233 10.85 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021113.8192 10.70 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021120.7636 10.62 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021123.7365 10.55 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021208.7972 10.35 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021208.7976 10.33 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021208.7979 10.39 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021209.7101 10.39 Brh.BAV Brh V126 021210.7108 10.30 Brh.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA kl.bernhard@aon.at http://mitglied.lycos.de/klausbernhard/
