Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (Brh V106), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera: Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new Brh V106 061641.3 +085718.8 (J2000) 12.2-12.8 (CCD) comments: Brh V106: GSC 731 2192 The comparison star is GSC 731 1895 (11.5 mag), which has been checked for constant brightness. The USNO A2.0 colours (r: 12.2 mag and b: 15.4 mag) and the following observations suggest a long period variable, type and period still unknown. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code Brh V106 011209.0243 12.73 Brh.BAV Brh V106 011210.0250 12.80 Brh.BAV Brh V106 011223.9903 12.58 Brh.BAV Brh V106 020104.0007 12.63 Brh.BAV Brh V106 020105.9958 12.57 Brh.BAV Brh V106 020201.9042 12.21 Brh.BAV Brh V106 020204.8958 12.25 Brh.BAV Brh V106 020308.7965 12.46 Brh.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA kl.bernhard@aon.at http://mitglied.tripod.de/KlausBernhard/index.html
