Forwarded discovery report: From: "Robert Koff" <Bob.Koff@worldnet.att.net> Subject: Possible New Variable Star Date: Thu, 4 Oct 2001 16:06:34 -0000 In the course of doing asteroid lightcurves, I have come across what appears to be a new variable star. The star is GSC 1851 0320, located at 05h 26m 21.09s, +24d 49m 50s. The amplitude of the variation is 0.2 mag, and the period is still uncertain, but appears to be 0.1437 day. I could find no reference to this star on VSNET or on Simbad. Information and lightcurves are on my web site at http://home.att.net/~Bob.Koff/GSC1851_0320/GSC1851_0320.htm I and some helpful people from AAVSO are continuing to monitor this star.
