Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (Brh V87), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera: Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new Brh V87 194836.8 +072117 (J2000) 12.7-13.2 (CCD) SR comments: Brh V87 does not have a number in GSC. The comparison star is GSC 492 1481 (12.5 mag), which has been checked for constant brightness. The red colour (USNO A2.0 r: 11.9, b: 15.2) and the apparently slow change of brightness suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code Brh V87 010625.0614 12.79 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010626.0274 12.73 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010627.0260 12.83 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010704.0086 12.96 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010705.0142 12.95 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010706.0176 12.91 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010710.0211 12.97 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010711.0114 13.14 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010715.0288 13.06 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010716.0017 13.05 Brh.BAV Brh V87 010718.0156 13.23 Brh.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA kl.bernhard@aon.at http://mitglied.tripod.de/KlausBernhard/index.html
