Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (Brh V80), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera: Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new Brh V80 194506.5 +035553 (J2000) 12.7 13.3 (CCD) SR comments: Brh V80: GSC 488 3551 The comparison star is GSC 488 188 (12.6 mag), which has been checked for constant brightness. The red colour (USNO A2.0 r: 12.6, b: 15.6) and the apparently slow change of brightness suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code Brh V80 000707.0099 13.29 Brh.BAV Brh V80 000717.9863 13.16 Brh.BAV Brh V80 000722.9946 13.28 Brh.BAV Brh V80 000731.9835 13.21 Brh.BAV Brh V80 000801.9786 13.23 Brh.BAV Brh V80 000809.9932 13.07 Brh.BAV Brh V80 000811.9578 13.26 Brh.BAV Brh V80 000820.9529 13.20 Brh.BAV Brh V80 010621.0550 12.67 Brh.BAV Brh V80 010624.0522 12.68 Brh.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA kl.bernhard@aon.at http://mitglied.tripod.de/KlausBernhard/index.html
