Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (Brh V76), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera: Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new Brh V76 171918.6 +040323 (J2000) 11.7 12.1 (CCD) SR comments: Brh V76: GSC 408 1049 The comparison star is GSC 408 1316 (12.1 mag), which has been checked for constant brightness. The red colour (USNO A2.0 r: 11.1, b: 13.9) and the apparently slow change of brightness suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code Brh V76 000702.9074 12.08 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000706.9088 12.08 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000717.8851 11.98 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000722.8935 11.92 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000731.8824 11.90 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000801.8775 11.93 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000809.8921 11.91 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000811.8567 11.93 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000812.8615 11.94 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000814.8588 11.96 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000816.8518 11.98 Brh.BAV Brh V76 000820.8518 11.88 Brh.BAV Brh V76 010614.9574 11.73 Brh.BAV Brh V76 010620.9539 11.82 Brh.BAV Brh V76 010621.9421 11.80 Brh.BAV Brh V76 010623.9511 11.77 Brh.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA kl.bernhard@aon.at http://mitglied.tripod.de/KlausBernhard/index.html
