Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (Brh V70), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera:Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new Brh V70 063009.5 +162302.6 (J2000) 12.7 13.0 (CCD) SR comments: Brh V70 has no entry in GSC. Comparison star was for all measurements GSC 1328 1182 (12.2 mag), which was checked to be constant. The red colour (USNO A 2.0: r:11.9, b:14.9) and the apparently slow variation in brightness suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code Brh V70 001221.0253 12.74 Brh.BAV Brh V70 001222.9975 12.81 Brh.BAV Brh V70 001223.9913 12.73 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010114.9253 12.94 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010116.0274 12.89 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010128.0163 12.95 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010224.8579 12.90 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010301.8375 12.82 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010301.8380 12.93 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010306.8292 12.84 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010306.8297 12.77 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010319.8486 12.91 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010319.8491 12.93 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010324.8576 12.98 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010324.8597 12.98 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010324.8604 12.91 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010324.8609 12.88 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010328.8250 12.89 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010328.8255 12.88 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010401.7917 12.95 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010401.7922 12.96 Brh.BAV Brh V70 010401.7927 12.96 Brh.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA kl.bernhard@aon.at http://mitglied.tripod.de/KlausBernhard/index.html
