Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (BeV59), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera:Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new BeV59 194814.9 +035112.8 (J2000) 11.1 11.4 (CCD) SR comments: BeV59: GSC 488 800 Comparison star was for all measurements GSC 488 236 (11.4 mag), which was checked to be constant. The apparently slow change in brightness and the red colour (USNO A2.0 r:11.3 mag, b:14.8 mag) suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code BeV59 000707.0118 11.42 BRH.BAV BeV59 000717.9882 11.31 BRH.BAV BeV59 000722.9965 11.43 BRH.BAV BeV59 000731.9854 11.27 BRH.BAV BeV59 000801.9805 11.29 BRH.BAV BeV59 000809.9951 11.17 BRH.BAV BeV59 000811.9597 11.21 BRH.BAV BeV59 000814.9618 11.17 BRH.BAV BeV59 000820.9548 11.16 BRH.BAV BeV59 000825.9263 11.11 BRH.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA e-mail: kl.bernhard@aon.at
