Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (BeV47), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera:Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new BeV47 170140.1 +040532.4 (J2000) 11.3 11.6(CCD) SR comments: BeV47: GSC 406 1737 Comparison star was for all measurements GSC 406 671 (11.2 mag), which was checked to be constant. The slowly change in brightness and the red colour (USNO A2.0 r:11.3 mag, b:14.4 mag) suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code BeV47 000702.8951 11.52 BRH.BAV BeV47 000706.8965 11.61 BRH.BAV BeV47 000717.8729 11.55 BRH.BAV BeV47 000722.8812 11.40 BRH.BAV BeV47 000801.8652 11.34 BRH.BAV BeV47 000809.8798 11.39 BRH.BAV BeV47 000811.8444 11.38 BRH.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA e-mail: kl.bernhard@aon.at
