Dear colleagues, New variable star discovery by the MISAO Project (MisV0854). MisV0854 R.A. 17h00m39s.75 Decl. -30o10'51".5 (2000.0) Mag. 12.4C-14.2C Type ? = USNO-A2.0_0525.25571476 17 00 39.749 -30 10 51.54 17.5R 20.6B http://vsnet.aerith.net/misao/data/MisV/MisV0854.gif MisV0854 19990414.72598 139C Mis MisV0854 19990414.72655 139C Mis MisV0854 19990614.55856 142C Mis MisV0854 20000224.81377 124C Mis MisV0854 20000224.81433 124C Mis It was detected by the PIXY system as one of the candidates of new variable stars from images taken by KenIchi Kadota, Ageo City, Saitama, Japan, then confirmed by Seiichi Yoshida. The magnitude are measured automatically by the PIXY system. Image observers' names are noted after "Mis", except for ones taken by KenIchi Kadota. OW Oph is 1.7 arcmin from MisV0854, that was detected as a variable star between 10.8 - 13.4 mag. MisV0854 is thus a new variable star.
