Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (BeV34), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera:Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new BeV34 072527.4 N101823 (2000) 11.5 11.8 (CCD) SR comments: BeV34: GSC 768 707 Comparison star was for all measurements GSC 768 1276 (11.3 mag), which was checked to be constant. The change in brightness and the red colour (USNO A2.0: r:11.4 mag, b: 13.8 mag) suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (ccd) code BeV34 000111.9785 11.51 BRH.BAV BeV34 000124.9556 11.64 BRH.BAV BeV34 000125.9854 11.63 BRH.BAV BeV34 000126.9826 11.68 BRH.BAV BeV34 000127.9542 11.69 BRH.BAV BeV34 000210.9604 11.82 BRH.BAV BeV34 000214.9424 11.82 BRH.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA e-mail: klaus.bernhard@vpn.at
