Dear colleagues,

For a star with such a long history, I am not very eager to investigate
its very old behavior. As far as I can find quickly, the brightest maximum
observed (3.3 mag) was on 2396019, i.e. in the mid-19th century. It is
reflected in historical GCVS notebooks, dating from the times of Catalog
und Ephemeriden published in Germany. It is not very easy to convert this
reference into a reasonable bibliographic reference. As for 2.3 mag, I
cannot explain the magnitude that bright.

Best regards
N. Samus
