I checked the ASAS3 light curves of a number of suspected Mira variables from the NSV. Most turn out to be real LPV's. I don't think there are many Mira stars showing such a feature. NSV05273 = IRC -30086 NSV10648 = V1289 Sgr (the star at the Simbad position of V1289 Sgr only shows scatter around V=12.2-12.4) If the NSV position is correct, then the following stars are _not_ large amplitude variables: NSV03899 constant V=11.4 NSV07523 = 16091-5915: 0.5 mag scatter around V=13.5, with 2 significantly fainter observations NSV07546 0.3 mag scatter around V=12.5 NSV10851 Scatter around V=10.4-10.5 NSV10950 Scatter around V=13.1-13.4 Patrick __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
