[vsnet-id 516] Old Oosterhoff variables

In a 1936 ApJ paper Oosterhoff published a list of fairly faint variables
found in a search of proper-motion stars in Selected Areas. I have identified
all but one of the stars in modern catalogues; basic information is shown in
the list below. Only one of the stars has an precise position in SIMBAD, and
the NSV variables are missing entirely.
The NSV stars all seem to have blue or intermediate colors in the
astrometric catalogues, so it is likely that most are RR Lyraes or eclipsers.
One such, NSV 6348, was rediscovered in Sloan sky survey commissioning data.
