I have the same feeling. Although I have incorporated TAV/TASV/Q identifications supplied by the recent Name Lists (by the GCVS team), there still remain a number of objects reported to VSNET, for which I have not been able to find proper identification using the material supplied on the The Astronomer website. Attached is the sample of object names reported to VSNET, which had not been resolved until very recently. I have been able to supply some identifications thanks to the recent Collins list. However, a number of objects still remain unresolved. Please note that the object V493 Aur is differently called as Q1997-029, TAV0550+55, TAVJ0550+54 and TAVJ0550+543 even by TA members. I think this kind of inconsistency should be at least avoided. I would be very happy if all Q/TAV/TASV identifications are made publicly available on the TA website. --- Q0657+26 Q1994/016 Q1992/065 Q1995-021 Q1995-03 Q1997-029 AURV493 TASV1108+55 TASV1612+40 NSV24346 TASV1812+34 TASVJ1835+383 TAV0039+59 TAV0218+507 TAV0550+55 AURV493 TAV0556+543 AURV494 TAV0559+06 TAV0712+296 TAV0714+17 TAV0722+37 NSV17460 TAV0722+39 TAV1831+19 NSV24505 TAV1933+53 TAV2204+58 TAV2204+59 NSV25835 TAV2230+59 TAVJ0218+507 TAVJ0218+507B TAVJ0550+54 AURV493 TAVJ0550+543 AURV493 TAVJ0712+296 TAVJ2352+665 CASV854 Regards, Taichi Kato
