[vsnet-id 167] V1575 Sgr query

Dear Brian,

In the course of the identification of HadV49, I became aware that
the identification of V1575 Sgr (EA, 14.0-15.2V) is poor.

The GCVS location of V1575 Sgr is: 180839.0 -292624 (B1950.0), which
would be converted to: 181150.4 -292539 (J2000.0). On this location,
however, no star around 14 mag is found on DSS images. In this
neighbourhood, there are 2 GSC stars in 1' offset, and other 5 within
2'. Also there are some 14-16 mag USNO stars and a few stars
uncataloged in USNO.

The GCVS tells that Ponsen (1955), Leiden Ann., 20, 16 contains the
chart of this star, which we cannot refer neither in Kyushu nor in
Kyoto. If it is in your library, could you refer it and give the
precise identification?

Sincerely Yours,
Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan

P.S. Here is 7 GSC stars around the GCVS location:
