In this instance there are actually pairs of plates taken several months to a few years apart that use the _same_ emulsions and filters! These pairs can thus be directly compared. Variation is not overly evident in all of them: it may just be a slow and low amplitude object, the plate images marked "sn0115" and "sn0154" possibly showing most difference. xxx I have no means of blinking such images with software, so judgement is difficult in the low amplitude cases, as exposures differ between plates [& Iuse both red & blue to try to allow for colour effects]. I will therefore leave the other ROSAT - 2MASS identifications, which also had GSC/USNO A2 counterparts, to your own interest. [Time online is also a concern]. Cheers John John Greaves UK
