Dear Taichi,
Thanks for the information on UY & UZ Vul.   A check on 
Downes & Shara "Catalogue & Atlas of CV's" confirms your
suggestion of mis-classification.  They have a spectra of
type 'M' for these two objects.
I have had problems with FG Ser in the past.  I will 
again check my charts and sequences.  Following your
comments, I am now sure that the position of FG Ser on
my charts is in error.
