From: yeti@sara.la.asu.edu (Peter Hauschildt) Subject: Nova Sagittarii 1993 Date: Thu, 16 Sep 1993 16:56:10 -0700 (MST) Dear Nova-Observers: It would be very interesting from a theoretical point of view to have very early spectra of this nova in the UV and optical. Nova Cyg92 was caught in the very early "fireball" stage with IUE which gave very different and interesting spectra. We could actually see the initial steep shell being ejected and the start of the subsequent "wind" phase in the UV. It would be very interesting to try and see what this nova will do. Therefore, early spectra are VERY important, and it would be a great help to have "simultaneous" multiwavelength observations to contrain the nova atmosphere models as much as possible!
