Nova Aquilae 1993 Comparison Star Magnitudes: Preliminary Values.
The following measures were obtained on 1993 June 2 UT with the 0.6-m B&C
reflector at Mt John.
Stars 'a' to 'e' on Morel's chart were measured differentially against
Landolt equatorial standard HD 175544 with HD 184914 as check star. These
stars have been remeasured by Menzies et al [MNRAS 248: 642-652 (1991)]
whose magnitudes and colours were adopted:
V U-B B-V V-R V-I
Comparison HD 175544 7.404 -0.607 +0.100 +0.074 +0.153
Check HD 184914 8.178 +0.944 +1.195 +0.634 +1.234
HD 175544 and the N Aql 1993 comparison stars differed by less than 0.1 in
air mass. The check star residuals were, on means of three measures,
0.014 +0.029 -0.005 +0.018 0.000
The fainter stars will be measured after the moon has waned.
