However I have heard on the grapevine that the Japanese have a possible nova in Aquila. I relayed this to Mike Collins, Evertonm, Beds UK who has a photograph of 1993 May 15.009UT showing an apparent 'new object' at: RA 19h10.5m DEC +01 28' [1950] Magnitude 7.6pv 135mm telephoto lens f2.8 Kodak 2415 hypered This exposure was 3m42s length. A second at May 15.011UT of 3m03s also shows the object. I cannoty find an asteroidal candidate I hope this helps, Kind regards, Guy M Hurst The Astronomer, UK
