Date: Wed, 5 May 93 09:08:23 EDT Subject: [active_stars bright cv] Request for simultaneous obs. of SS Cyg and AD Leo From: "Craig Robinson" <robinson@astro.psu.edu> [Posted to: the MultiWaveLink targets of opportunity mailing list] Dear Observers: Photometric and spectroscopic observations of the dwarf nova SS Cyg and the flare star AD Leo are requested during an upcoming observation with the ASCA (formerly Astro-D) satellite. ASCA, the recently launched Japanese X-ray satellite, will soon be observing SS Cyg (V= ~8.2 to 12) for a 24 hour period during the week of May 31st. The M dwarf flare star AD Leo (V = 9.4, R = 7.7) will be observed for a 24 hour period during the week of May 24th. A more precise starting time for each observation is expected within the next 1 to 2 weeks. John Nousek, from Penn State, is the lead investigator for the observations of these objects during the performance verification phase of ASCA.
