Yamaoka, Kyushu University, Japan, made the estimate of a visual magnitude of SN 1993J at Apr. 17.500, using 20-cm Dobsonian (refl.) telescope. Assuming that the visual magnitudes of star A and B are 11.4 and 11.9, respectingly, he got that the SN magnitude was 11.0. This estimate is done with extrapolation, so I think it is less precise.
