Subject: Superoutburst of TT Boo
TT Boo (SU UMa-type dwarf nova) is undergoing a bright superoutburst
as indicated by the following visual observations by VSOLJ members.
name UT mv observer
-------------------------------------------------
TT Boo 930409.522 12.4 M. Iida
930410.631 12.9 S. Takahashi
930410.577 12.5 M. Yamada
V-band CCD observations at Ouda Station (Nara, Japan) revealed
distinct superhumps with an amplitude of 0.22 mag. The superhump
maxima ocurred at Apr. 10.611, 10.685, 10.762 UT and the star reached
close to maximum at the end of the observation, i.e. 10.83 UT.
The rises of the superhumps were very steep and there was little
evidence of secondary humps. The light curve suggests that the
superoutburst started about a few days before the CCD observation,
consistent with the visual data.
The best superhump period is 0.0750 +/- 0.0003 day, still waiting
for refinement by subsequent observations.
