[vsnet-history 686] SN 1993J (Hurst)

Subject: RE: VS observations

Dear Taichi,
I have compiled all TA observations of SN 1993J since discovery and merged
with your own bringing us to about 304 estimates.
However in my analysis I work on the actual estimate which includes the
comparison stars and the intervals between them when the estimate was
made.
For example:
A(1)v(2)B (fractional estimate)
B-2 (Pogson estimate)

Do your Japanese visual observers record this detail when they make their
estimate?
If so is there any chance these estimates could be e-mailed for results
from japan to date?
I realise this may be too demanding a request and if so please ignore.
I shall quite understand but there is no doubt that examination of the
actual estimate can often enable large scatter which seems to exist
for SN 1993J to be reduced,
Kind regards,
Guy
