Dear Paul,
   I just read your e-mail.  (Did you call me just now?)
   Congratulations on your discovery!

   I will be able to take CCD images of the probable nova tonight.
   My examination on our stellar data base could not find any cataloged
star at your position.  Therefore it is unlikely to be a Mira variable.
The result of the confirmatory observations will follow, presumably by
tomorrow morning.
