(1993 Mar. 30) subject: FSPACE CV Circular 1993.2 (FSPACE NO.3) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FSPACE CV Circular 1993.2 (FSPACE NO.3) Edited by N.Makiguchi *** HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH *** First ever confirmed normal outburst of SW UMa! Superoutburst of SU UMa (19-28) Superoutburst of CY UMa (23-28) Taichi Kato detected superhumps in CY UMa during its current outburst and confirms that it is a new SU UMa-type variable. The previous superoutburst of this dwarf nova occurred in December, 1991. Dwarf novae in outburst were RX And(13-18 bright maximum), AR And(15-17) HL CMa(15-25 long outburst), YZ Cnc(23-26) CC Cnc(15-20 superoutburst!), IR Gem(24-25), X Leo(19-28 long outburst), CN Ori(18-28), CZ Ori(20-25), IP Peg(Jan.30-Feb.5), PG0943+521(10-15,22-27), Z Cam(in standstill) V1974 Cyg (=Nova Cygni 1992) is fading slowly. SU Tau shows a subtle fade by 0.2 to 0.3 mag. (Note added in proof: This R CrB-type star reached around mv=11.0 at the end of March and seems to be fading rapidly.) FG Sge is steadily recovering from the current minimum. * Note that this circular does not represent the official report of VSOLJ or other organizations. This is a summary of variable stars based on all the observations available to us.
