Subject: U Geminorum in a long awaited outburst

            *** U GEMINORUM IN A LONG AWAITED OUTBURST ***

This dwarf nova is currently undergoing a bright outburst. This maximum
has been long awaited as the last outburst occured nearly seven months ago
in late august and early september. According to the General Catalogue of
Variable Stars (4th edition) the mean time interval between outbursts is
105 days. The following observations are available:

Time system is Universal Time. Japanese observations have been communicated
by Taichi Kato. Does anybody have any results between March 18.560 and
March 19.416 U.T.?
