VARIABLE STARS - REPORT OF 1993 JANUARY 19

1. SU URSAE MAJORIS
According to the following observation by undersigned this dwarf nova is
apparently in a supermaximum:
YYYY MM MM.MMM OBSERVATION MAGN CL INSTRUM. OBSERVER
1993 02 28.99 107-6;116+3 11.3 1 C203,123x Granslo, B.H.
Time system is U.T. CL = class: estimated accuracy of observation; 1 = good.
Instrument (aperture in mm): C = Schmidt-Cassegrain. The AAVSO sequence has
been used. Observer: Bjorn Haakon Granslo, Nordahl Griegs vei 22 A,
N-1472 Fjellhamar, Norway.
High-speed photometry is required in order to detect short-periodic pheno-
mena like superhumps and quasi-periodic oscillations.
II. SU TAURI
Following a request from Guy Hurst I here report my observations from
1993 February:

1993 02 28.99 91-7;101+1 9.9 C203,123x Granslo, B.H.
Time system is Universal Time. These results indicate that a slight fade
may have occured.
