Yamada records V344 Lyr at magnitude 14.5 on 921002.606. We monitor this star closely for our recurrent objects programme, but have not seen it as bright as 14.5 before. Indeed I have only glimpsed it at magnitude 14.7 on one occasion only - August 31st 1991 - and that was unconfirmed. Have you any further observations of V344 Lyr being recorded, either faint or in outburst? Our records show a magnitude range of 14.5 - <20.0p, which would mean Yamada's observation was of V344 in outburst. Any information you have on this star would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Gary.
