Sir Dr. Hurst,

    Sorry for the delay of the result concerning possible new object
in Taurus.
    I checked the position of new variable on Jan. 5 using CCD (V filter)
to find nothing down to V=14 at the exact position reported.  The field
is small (7x10 arcmin) and the correct object may be outside the field.
    N. Makiguchi also failed to confirm it visually.
    Therefore we have no evidence at this time for the existence of
the object.
